Federalists wanted a strong centralized government, which would aid in helping keep order and preventing tyranny, and a strong executive branch. They did not want a bill of rights, claiming that the new constitution was sufficient. Anti-Federalists wanted a weaker central government, instead supporting state governments. They demanded a bill of rights.
