His ambiguity is seen in his very act of acting distraught at the death of Ophelia but at the same time, did not seem to mind his own evil plans. This ambiguity in the character of Hamlet allows the readers to sympathize with him when he lost his father and his lover but also at the same time, feels a sense of horror at his plans to avenge his father's death by inflicting his uncle and those involved with murderous intent.
