Why is the blitz significant???

The blitz was significant because it is known as the turning point of World War II since the Germans continued to produce attacks on London but, it backfired on them since they lost many aircraft. After that, the Germans failed to defeat the British in the Battle of Britain. Ever since that battle, the rest is history.
