Using the documents above and information from the chapter, form a thesis that explains your position. Then, write an essay to support your position. Your essay should include: o A clear, identifiable thesis o Four to six paragraphs o Use of transition words or phrases o Supporting evidence from the text and documents reviewed in the assignment o A conclusion restating the thesis and summarizing the main points of the essay o Evidence of careful proofreading prior to your turning it in After you have completed your essay, ask your teacher to make a copy of the Rubric 37: Writing Assignments worksheet found in the lesson guide.
