India has a developing economy, meaning that most of the population works in the agriculture sector, but is starting to shift more towards the Industry sector. Singapore, however, is a developed economy, with most of its population taking part in the service sector. Another difference between the economies is the challenges they face. India is facing a high level of poverty, with most of its population without a well paying job, or without a job all together. Singapore, on the other hand, is facing a shortage of workers. Most of the population is aging, and workers are retiring.
