They use the media to inform the public about their families and personal lives in order to make themselves seem more relatable. They use the media to get more attention, because the more popular they are, the more support their policies will have. They use the media to share their ideas and to sell their political messages and ideas to voters. They use the media to raise money for their political parties, so that even if they do not win elections, someone else in their party will.
