The forms of media include print media (newspapers, magazines, etc.), broadcast (TV, radio), Outdoor or Out of Home (OOH) media., and the Internet. To be biased in the media means that journalists and news producers are selective  in the events and stories that are reported and how they are covered in the media and how the audience would percieve them if they were to present them in a particular way. The media affects beauty standards, fashion, what is acceptable and what isn't, and our own perception of ourselves.   To spot 'fake news' you need to see if the sources/citations are credible or not, whether the information is available on other sites as well or not; go to a fact checking website to verify and differentiate between fact and fiction; check the publisher's credibility (check the domain name, check the name of the author, etc.); make sure that there are no spelling errors. Disinformation is when intentionally false information  is spread deliberately; it's a problem b/c it leads to resentment and social division. People stop trusting the media and the government.  It ultimately leads to the public revolting against their own institutions. Some solutions to stop the spreading of disinformation online could be reading your news sources very carefully and making sure they're accurate and reliable, not sharing an article if it seems too crazy/sensational to be true, seek out reputable sources of information that typically have viewpoints different than your own, and get to know your  feed, because disinformation targets us based on our online behavior and what we read, buy, search for, or send to friends. This is all available to advertisers, who then target you based on your past behavior.
