What main problem did John Ross have with the treaties between the U. S. government and the Cherokee? He felt the treaties were fair and represented the majority of opinions within the Cherokee Nation. He felt more needed to be done to protect the states' rights to govern all the people within their borders. He felt the treaties did not do enough to provide resources for the well-being of the Cherokee people. He felt the signatures of a few Cherokee leaders on the treaties did not represent most of the Cherokee people.
