According to Acts 9 which chronicles the dramatic conversion of Apostle Paul (who was known as Saul before his conversion) records that the conversion took place on his way to Damascus to persecute the children of God, but suddenly a light from heaven shined on him, and he fell on the ground and heard a voice saying "Saul Saul, why are you persecuting me?".  This event led to the conversion of Saul (Paul).

On the other hand, the conversion of Emperor Constantine was believed to take place during the Battle of the Milvian Bridge, where it is believed that the emperor looked up to the sun before the battle and saw a cross of light above it, and with it the word “in this sign, conquer!”. After the victory at the war, the emperor got converted, and became a christian.

Finally, the conversion of St. Augustine took place in 363 AD when he heard the voice of a child singing a song with the word "Pick and read, Pick and read it", after which he picked the bible and read Romans 13:13-14 which cautioned him to leave his life of sin and turn to Jesus Christ.  After this incident, he got converted and became a strong figure in the Christian world.
