Why did many africans living in africa convert to islam?

D. could be the answer or even a. because some of them was forced to convert and some of them weren't.

Personally, I'd choose b. they liked Islamic ideas and because there's many other Countries in Africa who are Muslims and that choose to follow Islam and because the Islam leads you in the right direction, that's why the Africans chose to be Muslims and/or Islamic.
