Why did napoleon return from exile during his “100 days”

Napoleon Bonaparte was not in exile for 100 days.  “The 100 days” term ( 111 days exactly ) is the period between his return from exile and the fall of his reign.

Explanation:

After being exiled to Elba Island in the early 19th century, Napoleon stayed there for only a few months. After his return he managed to regain his rule of power which lasted only “100 days” ( 111 days) . His final defeat was at Battle of Waterloo on 18 June 1815.
