Why president coolidge was called "silent cal? " what were his ideas for the country? what did he mean by the phrase, the "business of america is business"?

President Coolidge was called "silent Cal" because: He was a really quiet person, he was admired because he never included non-sense in his speeches and  he used to be a very concise man when talking. He even refused to use the white house phone. People used to rumor he had made a bet and that was the reason why he didn't speak that much.

Ideas for the country:

During his seven years as a president, The U.S lived a period of prosperity called the Roaring Twenties. He rejected to involve the United States in world affairs, specifically, he considered the U.S shouldn´t join the League of Nations. Shortly after he left office, the U.S sank into the Great Depression.

"The business of America is business."

His initial idea was to motivate the business community. He wanted to encourage them, to praise their importance in society, so that America could enjoy of economic prosperity. However, he believed it was also necessary to promote what drives American society forward, which is high ideals and core values, such as peace, honor and charity.

the difference is that white collar worker performs skills like worker as a scientist or well blue collars do physical work and they do services like being a cook.
