During the first part of class, we are covering early civilizations: from the earliest neolithic civilizations to the empire of alexander the great. what is your definition of a "successful civilization" during this period, c. 8000 bce to 323 bce? what features or activities make civilizations "successful"? why do these civilizations fall, if they're doing things right?
