Roosevelt was not justified in calling for the internment of japanese american citizens. the were not a part of the attack on pearl harbor, so why should they be punished for something that another country did, they were american citizens that were imprisoned for a horrible attack by a country that they really weren't associated with anymore. it is unfair to blame an entire race of people for something that the japanese military decided to carry out. while the japanese needed to answer for the terrible attack, imprisoning his own citizens was not the right choice, they were brought in wartime camps and suspend the their right under fifth amendment.  many innocent people were put in prison camps during the war. many of them had never even been to japan. it calm americans and not let them turn on the japanese for bombing pearl harbor, it really protected the japanese then hamed them.
