The World War I seems to have been inevitable considering all factors that led to it. The nationalism was on the rise in Europe, so the differences between the people and their cultures were becoming a big problem. The imperialism was too a huge problem, as some countries had lot of colonies and benefited from them, while others didn't had colonies but wanted to get a piece of them. On top of these tensions, the two sides created alliances, which just heated up things even more. As the tensions were growing, the nations started to militarize rapidly and prepare for war. Once there was a situation that was going to lead to escalation of things everyone was prepared for war. That situation came with the assassination of Franz Ferdinand.

the california missions began in the late 18th century as an effort to convert native americans to catholicism and expand european territory. there were 21 missions in all, lasting from 1769 until about 1833.   the missions were built by the spanish starting in 1769 in order to “colonize” the territory of alta california. so the missions were important because they were the means of settling california. it also wanted to keep other european countries out of alta california. building settlements along the coast would them meet these goals. missionaries wanted to convert the indians to the roman catholic faith. california indians did much of the work to build missions.
