Pretend you are living in africa during this time, your tribe, consisting of your family and friends have been taken from you and placed into another area where you cannot go. you are then forced to relocate to a tribe that is hostile towards your tribe. create a two (2) paragraph journal entry (in a word document) on how you feel regarding your tribe being taken away from you, you being in a tense situation with a rival tribe, and knowing that the precious resources you used to use to trade with friendly tribes is being stripped away.

I am incredibly upset that my own family and friends were taken from me. I feel as though I have nothing left. I'd rather be with people I love and know, then be alive in this tribe withpeople whom I have never met. They look at me like they dont want me ti be here...

The resources that I used to trade with have been stripped from my very own hands. I have nothing, no name, no family-only this new meaningless life. They people here say that they are glad that I am here, but there face says it all. They glare at me and ignore me. Actions speak louder than words.

thomas hobbes and john locke said that we are selfish, individualistic, and constantly at war with each other, therefore we need to be controlled. 

government is defined as the legitimate use of force to control human behavior within territorial boundaries, here comes in hobbes and locke.

hobbes takes the part about controlling human behavior. while locke takes the part of legitimate use of force, since force is not legitimate unless there is consent of the people. 

there are basically 3 goals of the government: 1) maintain order by protecting life and property. 2) providing public goods, those which are typically not provided by the public sector, such as roads and education. 3) promote equality be it political, opportunist or outcome equality.
