The 9/11 events brought lot of fear among the American public, as well as lot of rage and hatred toward the ones that did it and the organization that sponsored it. The president at that time, George W. Bush, was furious, and he instantly declared a war on the terrorism, namely al-Qaeda. This resulted in mobilizing lot of American soldiers toward the places that were seen as the basis of this organization, so the invasion of Afghanistan happened. This resulted in a a lot of bloodshed, as the terrorist attacks intensified even more as the US soldiers were taking bit by bit of their ground. Eventually, al-Qaeda was defeated and its leader Ossama Bin Laden was captured and murdered.
