What is a community of interest and why might that community vote for the same candidate ?

A community of interest is a group of people who share the same ideas and interests.

They usually have the same agendas or demands. They gather around to obtain the solution of a particular issue or to put pressure on the government to fulfill their demands.

As they have the same interests, they like to vote for a candidate whose ideas and thoughts are similar to theirs. They vote for a candidate who will work to bring their agendas on the page.  

1st amendment: freedom of speech, religion, petition, press, and assembly

2nd: right to bear arms

3rd: quartering of soldiers

4th: search and seizure

affirmative action refers to the policies that take gender, race, or ethnicity into account in order to promote equal opportunity.

employers subject to title vii are prohibited from taking race or sex into account in any employment decisions. aa is a penalty for having any job group substantially statistically "underutilized" in any race or either sex. the employer must take steps to eliminate the underutilization, then stop, ending its aa efforts
