If the events of the several years or so in American Politics are indicative of forthcoming changes, then you can expect changes in the way the United States should be governed.

For instance, the number of immigrants that are already in the country and the many more Central Americans that are at the U.S.-Mexico border. In this same topic the situation with DACA and the number of Hispanic people that depend on the President and Congress decision.  

Another idea could be the Middle East situation, specifically the Palestinian and Jewish issues in Israel. Or what about the political and humanitarian crisis in Syria and the U.S. decision to withdraw its troops.

Finally, maybe the issue of Guns in America and all the terrible shootings in the schools could be a great topi con the social response to these horrible incidents and the decisions the government should be doing.
