The Civil Rights Movement of 1964, helped in many ways. It gave the following results: It banned employment discrimination, which was classified by race, color, religion, sex or national origin and ended the pattern of segregation of public facilities and it created a huge breakthrough in equal-rights for African Americans and people in general.  

Explanation: Before the Civil Rights Movement, it was difficult for African-Americans to identify and establish their rights. That is why, for many African-Americans, the Civil Rights Movement developed a life purpose and helped progress African-Americans’ rights and status in society. Many people argued that the Civil Rights Movement was not helpful and that it caused conflict due to the fact that most African-Americans are still employed or stuck in low-level jobs but those effects were only temporary. Later, many began to notice that for many African-Americans and even different races, the Civil Rights Movement gave and created purpose in their lives.
