How have wars, emergencies, and the media contributed to the expansion of presidential powers?

The expansion of presidential powers is seen when the nation goes through challenging times such as wars and major emergencies. For instance, in the Civil War president Abraham Lincoln expanded the military and used government funds to finance it without even asking for Congress approval. He, also, suspended habeas corpus to expand the army and justified it by saying that the emergency of Civil War required him to do so. Media also contributes to the expansion of presidential powers by educating the people about such measures and creating the image of a powerful president.  

the industrial revolution pushed the world into modern industrialization. it changed the course of history profoundly. it caused rapid urbanization and pushed cities and countries into development. the industrial revolution began in great britain with a series with new inventions which led to the creation of machines and mass production.

this caused the country to gain wealth and money and become an international superpower. it improved transportation and manufacturing inside the country, pushed people to live in urban areas and britain to become the most powerful nation in the world for a while.
