What does robinson crusoe do to get ready for winter the first year he is on the island? ( this is for me to get into college)

When Crusoe realizes he's all alone with nothing but a knife so he starts to plan how we will make it through the winter. The first thing he solves is finding water for drinking, soon after Crusoe climbs up a tree to find a place to sleep and rest. After Crusoe sleeps there for the first time , he decides he  will need supplies, so he swims out to the ship at the distance still floating. (where he finds lots of remaining stuff he later uses to survive).

Crusoe, having arrived at a place he knows nothing of or where he is, must now starts figuring out where to find a place to set up camp for winter. Surveying the land, he notices that the island is suitable for settling and so he builds a hut on the shore. However Crusoe sets out to find a new place for his camp. In this new setting he has water, shelter from the sun, security from attack, and a view of the sea.

Crusoe builds a fence around his camp to protect himself. He sets up two tents, carries his supplies inside, and then continues to dig into the side of the hill constructing thereby something like a cellar. Crusoe also has some gunpowder with him just in case he will need it, but he puts it in a safe place for preventing it burns. He also begins building a wall around his camp that surrounds him, as the rain increases during this period and Crusoe as well accidentally plants some barley, which latery in the story springs up and provides him with crops.  Eventually ,Crusoe for this amount of time and the rest of the years he stays, continues to cultivate and grow the barley, and also some rice. He survives.

one of the negative side effects were the economic losses the events of september 11th caused. many, many people lost their jobs as a result of a downturn in the economy after the terrorist attacks.
