What assumptions underlie the court’s decision that preventive detention is constitutional? -this is a critical thinking question in chapter 20 section 4 of american government.

The US Congress passed the Preventive Detention act of 1984. This allowed courts to detain people under the assumption that the government cannot assure the safety of the people and well being of the people in the community the accused individual lives.

This act was challenged in the US vs Salerno case. However, the Supreme Court concluded that there was no violation of the due process clause of the Fifth Amendment nor the excessive bail language of the 8th Amendment.

This set the precedent that the Supreme Court was, in fact, regarding the Preventive Detention Act of 1984 as Constitutional.  

when a country suffers, for example, a drought period, the market product is affected for a low offer, in this case, potatoes; the government has to tax to the households, which have to give more money for the potatoes which they consume, that situation make them consume substitute goods even through loans, it could increase the financial market movement and the inflationary phenomena, the business has to increase salaries in order to the employees could buy a more expensive food (potatoes) and in order to inflation tha business had to buy expensive supplies in the factor market, while the rest of the world have to gain more money to consume the same amount of potatoes.
