Why did the colonist feel it was appropriate and nessasary to biycott british tea

The colonists boycotted the British tea because it was taxed. They felt that taxing tea was too much, and wasn't fair. They also loved tea, and some could not afford to keep paying tax. 

Contributing factors  leading  to the harlem renaissance were the great migration of african americans to northern cities, which concentratedambitious  people in places where they could encourage each  other, and the first world war, which had created new industrial work opportunities for tens of thousands of people.
