The sixth crusade was an important part of European history.It began in 1228. Almost exactly 7 years after the failure of the fifth crusade. There was not a lot of fighting in the sixth crusade mostly because the emperor was a diplomat. The emperors name was Frederick II. The sixth crusade was the first crusade to succeed in taking back Europe. It ended in 1229.
