Article III of the United States Constitution establishes the Judicial Branch of government, but allows Congress (the Legislative Branch) to decide much about the shape and structure of the federal judicial system underneath the Supreme Court.  Section 1 of Article III states, "The judicial Power of the United States, shall be vested in one supreme Court, and in such inferior Courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish."

Other branches of government Legislature   Legislature is the branch of the government that is tasked with formation and amendment of Laws.   This branch is headed by the Congress. The Congress is divided into two; the senate and the House of Representatives.   Executive   The executive branch of government is headed by the president who is elected by citizens of a country or nation who have attained the voting age. The president is responsible of enforcing laws that have been made by the legislature. Additionally, the president also commands the armed forces, veto laws and also deals with international relations. The vice president and the cabinet are also part of the executive and play a great role in enforcing the mandates of the Executive.
