Alcohol is considered a gateway drug because:

People use it with the intention to solve their personal and emotional issues but instead it opens up a new emotional issue and in the long run even physical. (my opinion) hope this helps.

Because people use it to help them feel happy and they think it helps people but it really helps develop more problems such as cancer, heart attacks, early aging, and lung cancer.
