MentalHealth Can someone..anyone explain this to me: How can someone listen to everything you've been through and make you go through it again and make up some random excuses?

And why do people tend to say that they'll always be there for you..but never are when you need them the most? Instead they are busy doing things they can pause and continue whenever they want or they just make up excuses.

Great question! I actually haven’t given it a thought even though I’ve had this scenario happen once or twice.

Humans are a unknown species even when we’ve been on earth for so long. Our choices and decisions are rather questionable.

Why do people make you go through something again, and make up random excuses? I don’t know the case, so I’ll based it on the general question. Humans can tend to make promises that they sometimes won’t keep or break, this is basically human nature. It protects our ego and reduce cognitive dissonance. Our own feelings go before others even when we don’t recognize it. Although, we like to help others through their problems they often don’t do the same. But even if it’s apart of human nature. Excuses after excuses can get tiring and quite annoying. People who only focus on main appearance will say anything to make themselves look good even if it’s disingenuous.

Why aren’t people there for us when we need them the most? Is a universal question that, I, myself cannot fully comprehend. We put so much time and effort into the “people” we want to keep but they never actually stay. When you need to call a friend who you’ve always been there for, but they’re too busy in their own world and aren’t even aware of your problems. Maybe some people do have an excuse maybe they do have their own problems, their own demons to face. But, I would also like to add that fighting to keep people in our lives when they’ll eventually leave us…It makes it seem like it serves no purpose to do everything in our power to preserve the people and moments, as they are doomed to leave us one day. It would be useless to try to fight the inevitable.

Now this isn’t an emotional irrational passage, but I do believe it’s important to question the human condition and the behaviors of humanity. To be conscious to our absurdity and our self-destruction.
