Different conquests of well-organized empires have contributed to its growth over the change of its administration and variety of systems like roads, trading, ports, and even the military and navy units.  Some instances of these are the Persian Empire which was capable to have royal roads and relay station and Alexanders Empire that was capable to build new routes after the takeovers.
