In preparing discharge teaching for a client who had a kidney transplant, in addition to a corticosteroid, the nurse expects other set of medications to be prescribed to prevent kidney rejection are the Immunosuppressants medication or the anti-rejection drugs , according to its prescription these are the usual medication to be prescribed:  Calcineurin Inhibitors: Tacrolimus and Cyclosporine which is used to reduce the allograft rejection and innate immunity promotes vascular injury triggered by ischemia-reperfusion damage, atherosclerosis and hypertension. Antiproliferative agents: Mycophenolate Mofetil i, Mycophenolate Sodium and Azathioprine are used to reduced incidence of both early and late acute rejection. mTOR inhibitor: Sirolimus  is used in preventing the organ transplant in rejection and to treat other rare diseases, and lastly the Steroids: Prednisone is used to treat conditions such as arthritis, blood disorders, breathing problems, severe allergies, skin diseases, cancer, eye problems, and immune system disorders.  All they are anti-rejection drugs for those who undergone transplant.

If it's a smaller child or infant, place one on the middle of the chest and on the child's back. (if it is a bigger child with enough room for two, place one on the upper right/your left of the chest, and one on the lower left/your right) the pads should never touch each other.
