The difference between the two is the type of stressor they have with eustress being from pleasant stressors and distress resulting from unpleasant stressors.

To put this into perspective think of it like this: Eustress arises when there are challenge situations in which are seen as opportunities for growth and learning and the stress that a companies this is eustress. On the contrary, stress that involves harm, loss or threat is distress.
