Some of the strategies include;

1. Educating them with pictures, videos and other illustrations about what the virus is.

2. Connecting them with friends virtually so as to interact with them.

3. Observing them for signs of stress and boredom.

4. Creating a plan for exercise and and entertainment.

Explanation:

The unusual routine caused by the pandemic can negatively affect children with disabilities because they have a hard time trying to understand the changes around them.

Parents and guardians can help their children maintain reciprocal relationships by;

1. Educating them on the changes brought about by the virus such as, staying at home, maintaining social distancing, wearing of masks, washing of hands, using pictures and illustrations that ease understanding of these things.

2,. Connecting them virtually to classmates and friends will help them maintain a sense of belonging.

3. Close observation for unusual behaviors can help parents know when to render emotional help.

4. Creating a routine of regular exercise and entertainment will help them not to miss out in most of their normal routines.
