Activity 10.1 Post-Assessment for CPR, AED and First Aid scenarios DIRECTIONS:
You are minding your business when you come upon the following unique situations. Immediate and correct responses are needed in each situation. A wrong move by an untrained person could result in extenuating damage, paralysis, or death. Please record your answers to the best of your ability and be thorough in your thoughts and steps needed to provide immediate treatment to the injured.

Scenario 1

You are walking out of your neighborhood grocery store and see someone slumped or slouched against the outside wall. The individual’s eyes are closed, and the person appears to have collapsed/slid down the wall into the shape of a ball on the ground.

Scenario 2

You are in a restaurant with your friends and that special person you want to get to know better when suddenly on the other side of the restaurant you hear and see a commotion near a table. A person appears to be in need of assistance and is unable to talk. The person’s skin is starting to turn blue.

Scenario 3

You are driving down the road to get to your after-school job. Suddenly you pull up on what appears to be an accident between two cars. You stop and notice that each car contains three passengers (one adult, two children) and they do not appear to be moving. The adult in each car and one child in each car appear to have facial lacerations and arms bent in a weird way. One adult is wearing a bracelet. Both cars appear to have smoke or steam emitting from the engine area and you smell gasoline.
