1. Yes, soft skills are important for a medical career because soft skills have to do with the person's personal interests. As
an example, as a patient you would want the person who keeps you alive to care about you and that you end up okay.
Skills like motivation, competence, care, empathy, and etc are all important for providing care to patients.

Other skills
Yike being able to handle criticism and patience are also very important in the medical field. Many patients admitted to the
hospital are there for vert stressful reasons, because of this, them and their families can be difficult and irrational
sometimes because of their stress and emotions. As a healthcare professional you must be able to handle these
stressful situations because they can occur very often.
2.
I think as a nurse, soft skills are more important for the most part. Although obviously you need to know what you're
doing, Soft skills will help a lot in the long run. If patients experience someone who cares about their well being the
patients will be happier and more satisfied with the care they recieve. If you are able to feel empathy for the patient and
their family because of a situation that they're in, you will have more motivation to help them. Especially as a nurse, you
will be interacting with dozens of patients each day, and that is why you need to show care for all of them.
