"Hey, Con, how's it going?" Devin asked his close friend
Connor as they met up in the hallway. Connor smiled slightly
at Devin. "I'm feeling better, thanks," he replied. "I met
with my family doctor last week. He was concerned that I
was depressed."
"Yeah?" Devin looked interested. "What did he say?"
"He prescribed some medication, and I'm meeting with
a mental health specialist tomorrow.
Devin didn't know what to say at first.
He knew that Connor had been unhappy,
but didn't know much about depression.
"I'm sorry Connor. I didn't realize you
were feeling that bad. I hope things get
better soon."
The friends said goodbye and went to
their classes. In study hall, Devin thought
more about depression and realized he
didn't know much about it. He decided to
do research on the Web to find out if there is anything he
