What is the difference between a certification and a license? Certifications give people specific privileges to enhance their careers and licenses are more general. Certifications and licenses are not different because they both show that a person has completed advanced training. Certifications reflect a person’s skills and knowledge and licenses give people special privileges. Certifications only apply to biomedical careers and licenses apply to all medical professional careers.
