financials, what would be the best course of action to take?
Find a different organization to join. If it is hiding its financials, it may not be financially sound or may be doing something unethical.
Join the organization, but check out the list of members to be sure that there are enough members to support the organization
Ask around to see if your friends or co-workers have heard anything about the organization, if they have, it is alright to join
Join for a short period of time. This will give you a chance to see what it offers and investigate how it does things
