Project: Dietary Plan
“For this assignment, you will construct a personal dietary plan that is reflective of your current diet in terms of its nutritional value. Before creating this plan, you will conduct research to explore current dietary guidelines. You will also evaluate personal barriers, and internal and external influences, to setting nutritional goals, and making food choices. You will use a food log to monitor the progress of meeting these goals. This log will help track your eating habits over the course of five days. After your entire dietary plan is constructed, you will evaluate whether healthy daily nutritional values are being met. You will then participate in a small group discussion.”
For this assignment you will do research on the Internet for resources about recommended dietary guidelines. This will help you get a better understanding of nutrients and dietary guidelines. They provide you some good resources for you in step 2 in your study guide. You will need to take notes on healthy eating, consequences of poor eating choices, and ways to promote a healthy lifestyle. Once you have educated yourself on better healthy eating, then you will go on and start working on the chart in your study guide titled “Part One: Graphic Organizer”.

For the graphic organizer you will need to
1st: Write 3 nutritional goals:
2nd: identify three barriers that will challenge you as you work toward achieving your nutritional goals.
3rd: identify two influences (one internal and one external) that affect your food choices.

Once you finish with the top part of the chart you will start recording what you ate in a 5 day time period. This will go for breakfast, luch, dinner, and any snacks. You will need to record what the food is, type of meal, food group, calorie count, # of carbs, total fat, protein, vitamins, fiber, and sugars consumed. Once you are done with your recording you will go on and start on your summary.

For the summary you need to answer the questions in part 2 of the study guide under
“Part Two: Short-Answer Response” After answering the questions go back to step 6 and make sure you did everything in the check box if you did not please make sure you do so.
Once everything is complete save your work under “pdf” file format and turn it in.

Ihave a really high metabolism and only weigh 70 pounds (13 almost 14). people always ask me two questions: do you ever eat and how do you eat so much and stay so skinny. i am worried that a high metabolism wont me forever. what are some safe steps i can take to maintain being fit.
