What are the three components of an interview

Most job interviews include three basic parts: 1) Establishing a Positive First Impression; 2) Demonstrating a Good Fit; and 3) Confirming Interest in the Position.

The opening, the body of the interview, and the closing

Explanation: The opening: The purpose of this portion of the interview is to make the Candidate feel more comfortable and to set the stage for a productive exchange of information in the balance of the interview

The body of the interview: consists of information gathering and an evaluation of you “the candidate”, and often indirect selling of the company, primarily through the interviewer showing a real interest in the candidate. This is where the questions that matter to the position will help separate people from one another.

the closing:  interview often includes a short opportunity for questions, thanking the

candidate for coming in to interview and explaining when and how he or she will hear back from the company. It is often an opportunity for the candidate to ask any questions, and is a good time to stand out if you had something in mind related to the position that you thought they would discuss but did not.
