The region of the African and the oceanic continent lies near the southern hemisphere and these lands are chartered by the diverse ranges of the temperature and have a rich resource base. Thus are diverse in terms of the rocks ad the landscape composition and they were once a part of the same landmass known as the Gondwana super landmass that floated on the southern hemisphere about some 300 million years ago.  Like other Oceania island the African coast is also studied with various islands. and most of them are of the volcanic nature.
