Why do you think the northern part of africa doesn't receive very much precipitation per year?

The reason as to why the northern part of the Africa does not receive any much of the precipitation per year because of the reason that they have a dessert climate in which there are only less rain fall per year and that their region is likely to be the hottest and sunniest place on the earth.
