This is something that can go either way, depending on how well is the migration planned by the host country and how it will manage to integrate the migrants. For example Sweden; the migration wave in the 90's from the Balkans, was not that massive, and the migrants were willing to integrate and contribute to the country, so it worked out well, but the migrants in the past few years were too many, do not want to integrate into the society, nor want to contribute to the country, so it makes huge problems on all levels.

- The skill levels of the immigrants;

From economic point of view it is crucial, because it might damage the economy if the skill levels of the migrants are very low, or if they have high skill levels, than it can be of great benefit for both sides.

The motivation for moving is very important. south africa, or rather all of africa, has not been in the location in which it is nowadays throughout the geological past. after the super-continent pangaea started to break apart, gondwanaland, in which was africa, moved further south, and parts of it came to be very close to the south pole. because the climate in this part of the world is very cold due to the very dispersed sun rays in there, what is now south africa, started to freeze, and the conditions were right for the formation of glaciers. the glaciers existed up until the period when gondwanaland started to break apart and what is now africa started to move towards north, sp it warmed up and the glaciers melted.
