Think about the folk and popular culture traits that exist in your family. Maybe they take
form of traditions, food, dance, music, language, stories, or religion! Do a little research into
the background of these cultural practices within your family and write a 5 paragraph essay
on them. You might want to talk to your grandparents or other family members for ideas.
Consider why these cultural traits have persisted over time, or if they are new popular
culture traits, why has your family adopted them?
