Explain how language can be a divisive force ?

Language is the medium through which human beings establish communication with each other. Now, there are thousands and thousands of different languages around the world, with which the mutual understanding of each person is limited only to the languages that they speak in common (an English speaker will not be able to understand each other with an Italian speaker), thus reducing the number of people with whom to communicate. This, in short, operates as a divisive force that separates communities from each other, depending on whether they speak the same language or not.

the thermometer indicates the current temperature, and the highest and lowest temperatures since last reset.
