I’m reading an excerpt from “on the revolutions of the heavenly spheres” by nicolaus copernicus and it’s just explaining his idea of a heliocentric universe. the question i have to answer is, “why might one say that european astronomers finally destroyed the middle ages? ”

The astronomers provided a new way of looking at things through exploration. Their example was followed by others who soon began exploring, leading the world into the Renaissance.

Western europe's proximity to water has affected its climate since large bodies of water in the moderation of air temperature of the surrounding areas. the economy is also affected since it is great for the economic growth of the region. this allows easy access to trade for europe. culture is also affected by the proximity of water through the pattern of their day-to-day living.
