The Nile river floods every rainy season while destroying villages/crops it in riches the soil with nutrients allowing many more lush plants to grow giving habitat to the wild life for another year. But if there's not enough rain then the Nile can start to run out giving less of a habitat tor water loving creatures such as crocodiles and hippos.
