How has the culture of Africa been impacted by the legacy of colonization?

In many African countries colonization has left a deep mark in communities that has never been changed.In many African countries cultures have essentially interlocked and binded with the changes brought by colonists.Countries have been westernized and languages have been altered. Some traditions have been forgotten whilst new Western traditions have emerged and molded communities. Demographics have also changed in countries whereby many Western settlers remained.
