A Time magazine cover once suggested that an "angry Sun" was becoming more active as human activity changed Earth's climate. It's certainly possible for the Sun to become more active at the same time that humans are affecting Earth, but is it possible that the Sun could be responding to human activity? Why or why not?

The angry Sun is figurative of course; we know that the sun is a star that provides light and heat for the earth and around which the earth (like other planets) moves. This in itself shows clearly enough that what humans do on earth is affecting the earth but fortunately we are not powerful enough to affect a star 14 million km away.
