For instance, a large territory of the Sonora and Arizona share a cuisine that has a wheat, beef and cheese base.

As for the second part of your question, there are six border crossings which are particularly important for the existence of the communities surrounding them. Most of these function as ports for the conveyance of goods between the countries. The people from both the sides shop regularly on the other side.
