We are out taking a walk one day when we notice two large fields. one is all grass while the other a mix of grass and native wild flowers. we wonder if there is a difference in the number of different bird species each field has using it. we think that the field with the grass and wild flowers will have more different bird species using it than the field with just the grass alone. we set up an experiment where we census the birds in each field. we census each field once a week for three months. censuses are done on both fields at the same time and using the same techniques. we find that a total of 6 different bird species using the grass field and 10 different species using the grass and wildflower field.
